Sammaltupa is located in the middle of the Repovesi National Park, on the shore of Sammallahti, in the western corner of Kuutinlahti. The cabin is accessible by land from the road from Olhava to Karhulahti.
Sammaltupa is completely secluded from the busy main trails of the national park. Random hikers will not get lost in the yard of Sammaltupa by accident. During the summer season, Sammaltupa is ideal for couples, families, small groups of hikers and paddlers.
Type of cabin and yard
Sammaltupa is a wooden cabin built in the 1980s and divided into three parts: a living room with kitchenette, a bedroom and a sauna. Outside, there is a firewood shelter and a dry toilet next to the cabin, as well as a separate sleeping hut for the months from May to September (warm season). Both the cabin and the sleeping hut have terraces, where you can bask in the sun or cool off after sauna. There is a fireplace in the yard and a dock on the shore.
Sammatupa is suitable for a maximum of three people during winter, as the sleeping hut cannot be heated during the cold season (October-April).
The cabin is suitable for a maximum of 6 people and this number may not be exceeded. It is not permitted to pitch tents around the cabin.
Location and access to the cabin
Sammaltupa is located about three kilometres from the entrance to Saarijärvi from Olhavanvuori towards Karhulahti on the shore of Sammallahti. Access to the cabin is by one vehicle.
During the cold season (October-April), there is no separate ploughing for vehicles, so during the winter season access is by foot only and the vehicle is left in the parking area of the Saarijärvi entrance.
Tervarumpu is under no circumstances responsible for the customer's vehicle or for the accessibility of the road to Sammaltupa. The customer shall always be responsible for the vehicle's access to Sammaltupa.

Booking and usage of the cabin
The cabin can be booked all year round. The cabin can be booked for 6 people in the warm season (May-September) and for 3 people in the cold season (October-April).
The cabin is available from 14:00 on the day of arrival until 12:00 on the day of departure. The tenant is not allowed to enter the cabin until the booking period starts.
Cleanliness, final cleaning and trash
The tenant is responsible for the cleanliness of the rented property, its yard, and the services associated with it. The cabin should be thoroughly cleaned after use so that the next person arriving will have a pleasant experience visiting Repovesi.
The principles of litter-free hiking are followed at the cabin. Biodegradable waste can be placed in the dry toilet, and burnable trash (NOT aluminum-lined or metal-containing materials) can be burned in the sauna stove or fireplace. However, burnable trash must not be left for the next arrival as "kindling." All other waste must be taken away. No food items may be left at the cabin.
Pets
Dogs under 50 cm in height and clean dogs are allowed in the cabin. The owner must ensure that beds are properly covered if the dog likes to sleep on the bed. When leaving, special attention must be paid to cleaning and dusting the carpets to remove as much hair as possible.
If your dog relieves itself in the yard, you must absolutely clean it up and take it across the path into the forest to decompose.
When making a reservation, please provide the breed and size of your dog in the additional information section. Remember to also check the pet section of the terms and conditions before booking.
PS. If your dog is over 50 cm, we recommend Kuutinkämppä.

The person making the reservations is fully responsible for the cabin and his/her friends. Please read the terms and conditions before making any reservations.
